This Privacy Policy explains how HPC Folio (“the App”) handles information when you use the App on your device.
1. Information We Process
The App is designed to help you organize SEC filing materials and personal research files. Information processed by the App may include:
- Company identifiers you search or save (such as ticker, company name, or CIK)
- Filing metadata and documents you choose to keep in your library
- Folders, tags, notes, reading history, and optional note images you create
- App preferences such as cache duration and lock settings
This information is stored in the App’s storage on your device.
2. How Information Is Used
We use the information described above solely to provide App features, including search results display, library management, document preview, watchlist reminders within the App, and optional device lock protection.
3. Device Permissions
Depending on how you use the App, the system may ask for permission to access:
- Camera — to capture images for file notes
- Photo library — to attach existing images to file notes
- Face ID / Touch ID — to unlock the App when you enable biometric lock
You can change these permissions in your device settings at any time. Declining a permission only limits the related feature.
4. Data Sharing
The App does not sell your personal information. Content you save in the App remains under your control on your device, except when you choose to export or share items through the system share sheet.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Library items, notes, and preferences remain until you edit or delete them, clear cache, erase App data from Settings, or remove the App from your device.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will be revised when changes are published.
