Desk tools for voting power, buybacks, rights, dilution, cases, and filing photos.

This is a short how-to. Not a manual. If something’s broken on your phone, mail is faster than guessing.

What you can do in the app

• Desk — jump into the four main calculators and your active cases.
• Tools — deeper screens (presets, compare paths, buyback steps, rights dates, and so on).
• Notes — short guides, glossary terms, a few quizzes.
• Photos — camera or album; keep a page next to the numbers. No OCR; it’s the image.
• Saved — case files, saved calculator runs, bookmarks.

Cases (quick path)

From Desk, tap New case (or the +). Pick a topic, give it a title, add a short hypothesis if you want. You’ll get a Base version with starter numbers. Duplicate a version when the thesis changes. You can link a photo from Photos after you’ve saved one.

Calculators

Voting power, buybacks, rights, and dilution all work the same idea: change the inputs, read the metrics, save to Library if you’ll come back. Dilution: tap a timeline row to edit an event. Rights: take up fully, take a fraction, or skip — the cash line follows what you chose.

Open a saved run from Saved and it should reopen the same item (not a copy) when you save again.

Photos

iOS will ask for camera or library access the first time. If you replace a photo on a document detail screen, it updates that same record so case links stay put.

If a number looks wrong

• Buybacks: enter issued shares, then treasury. Outstanding is issued minus treasury.
• Cancel-from-treasury: issued drops; outstanding usually does not drop again (it already excluded treasury).
• Secondary offering in dilution: holders sell — share count doesn’t grow just because of that event.
